Virginia Hey products are designed and hand made by Virginia Hey, founder and owner. Virginia is an Australian actress, ex model, natural therapist and "nose" (Fragrance designer/perfumer). Virginia also designs packaging, fragrances and candle lines for private label clients around the world.

Virginia uses her background in Art, Beauty and Natural therapies to create a truly opulent product sensation. Virginia is a perfectionist who spent years developing products that have a complete sensual experience. She believes in a holistic approach, not only should a product perform to expectation, it should also look, feel and smell sensual and exquisite. It is the WHOLE experience that is important. Virginias designs have a complete sensual experience.

As a Natural Therapist, Virginia has a fascination for the way the body, mind and spirit ticks, so when the idea blossomed to produce a range of exquisite beautifying products that would be aroma-therapy for the mind, body and soul, Virginia became impassioned about the idea and her products began with White Flower Lei which was born in 2002, and later became Virginias own signature line.

Virginia says - It has been a longtime passion and fever of mine to launch luxury natural beauty products that are respectful of life, body and soul, whilst providing sensual elegance and wellbeing to inner and outer environments. VH

All my products are handmade by me with the utmost respect for all life, I use the finest ingredients and put a great deal of care and love into providing you with sensational products to delight you and immerse you in sheer opulence! That is my aim!

My candles are gorgeous! I hand make them myself with pure perfume and 100% organic soy wax. They are double the size of most container candles. Each of my candles contains exclusive perfume oils, this makes Virginia Hey candles unique and a true luxury experience to be savored!

None of my products are tested on animals, this is a cruelty-free haven!

What led Virginia to fragrance design and having her own line?
Virginia says
Im so proud, I began with a company called White Flower Lei. I adore the name, it conjours up so many memories of Frangipani flowers, Jasmine blossoms, gardenias and growing up by the beach in Sydney Australia...

Indulge me in this thought - Think of this:
1968 Summer, Sydney - After a day at the beach the skin is musky, sandy, salty, hot and sweet from all the rich tropical fruit suntan oils in those days. I would come home, snack on orange slices my mother would leave for me, light incense, and flop into a bath with Jasmine flowers and Gardenia heads in it that I picked from our garden! I would lie in the bath and make a flower lei from the floating flower heads and place it around my neck and soak. I would create my own kiddy version of aromatherapy.. No wonder I developed a passion for fragrances, I love nature so..

Actually, you know, that mixture of fragrances from the incense in the air and the aroma from the oranges, the flowers, the sea, the sand and sun lotions in the warm water permanently impregnated my mind and senses with a perfume that I could never find in any bottle, in any place in the world.. and believe me, I looked my entire adult life for that mix in a fragrance ..

... I couldnt find it .. till now.. till my very own perfume blend called rei.Kii..

Its always been a dream of mine to design perfumes and a range of natural products.. In 1980, when I was modeling, I wanted to have my own signature perfume and product line, ha ha, it only took 27 years to reach that dream! LOL..

This is how it began - In 2001 I asked a master perfumer friend of mine to design rei.Kii for me, this was the beginning of White Flower Lei.. The gorgeous creation inspired me to begin my own fragrance designs and put together my own line of exquisite products. People LOVE my fragrances and packaging and logo so much that they ask me to design their lines.. I LOVE it! Im designing multiple candle and exclusive perfume lines right now!

I always had a feel for fragrances and in the 70s, 80s, 90s etc and would wear 4 perfumes at once because I wasnt happy with any single one available on the market.. I was not ever one for sticky-sweet sharp strong candy florals like most women, in fact that is all there was on the market till rei.Kii.. I used to have to resort to wearing a mix of mens fragrances because they were powdery and sensual, unlike womens perfume which tended to give me a headache from all the overpowering and sharp “toppy” flowers .. I promised myself that one day I would make a fragrance that all women could wear, and even men too.. Women all over the world have thanked me for developing a fragrance that doesnt scream “girl” at them when they wear it... it whispers warm sensuality and Goddess instead.

I went to art school in 1970 and come from a line of artists and a mother who was an artist, writer and composer, a father who was a dentist specializing in crowns and cosmetic work, who was also a gifted artist, industrial designer and amateur architect, my sister was an art teacher, and my brothers all are artists, one is a sculptor.. so art runs in my blood.. its a dream come true basically.. I use all the tools Ive inherited, and wrap all my experiences up and express them via my fragrance and packaging the way an actor "tells" a story..

I was just writing to my best friend, Mari, in Australia this week, and I was chatting about a candle line I designed for a client there, and musing about the fact that when I sent them the sample fragrances and the boxes and glasses, I also sent a page of little prose grabs about the ceremonial process of experiencing the candle, it was written like an add for the candle, a little blurb talking about the candle and fragrances.. thats important as you know, there has to be a description on the packaging and labels and if you do PR, there has to be an add written.. the copy its called.. I also supply that in my design process, its an all encompassing design process for me.

I design the words to evoke a sensory experience about the candle and fragrance .. very important ..

I was telling Mari that I love to design, and how I love to design the words too, and the mood set by them, I was saying that its all part of the process, to create an entire sensual ceremonial experience, from what you hear and see, feel and imagine when reading the words, to what you feel, hear, see, experience when touching and opening the box, to what you dream when smelling the candle, and then the continued ceremony of lighting and wafting off into Bliss.. yum..

Meaning of the words rei.Kii
The words rei.Kii in the rei.kii eau de toilette name are derived from the Japanese ancient healing art “Reiki”, of which Virginia Hey is a certified practitioner.

Reiki = “Rei” means Higher power, or Universal, Spiritual wisdom. “Ki” which means life force energy.

Virginia Hey is a certified reiki practitioner and she places the loving nature of Reiki energy in all her products and everything she does.

rei.Kii it is part of Virginia.. unique to Virginia.

Reiki the healing art
Reiki is universal or spiritual life force energy that we use in a gentle manner to promote physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healing.

Reiki is a gentle hands-on healing modality for stress reduction, relaxation, and health. Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that allows the practitioner to focus an unseen life force energy and transmit the energy to another person. The client remains fully clothed and can either be sitting or lying while the practitioner gently places her hands on the client. Reiki can be used in conjunction with any other healing modalities, conventional or alternative and has no side effects.
